Type and Cross for Patients undergoing Cardiac Catheterization

 

Have blood available in the lab for the following patients.

 

AGE: < 3 months

 

WEIGHT: < 10 kg

 

PROCEDURE: 

-All aortic interventions: angioplasty and stenting

-All Melody valve patients

-All RF perforations

-All hybrids

 

HEMATOCRIT:

-Pre cath anemia: 

       -Noncyanotic pts: Hct <28

       -Cyanotic pts:  Hct <40

 

Other interventions: discuss with the anesthesiologist on the case.
